Perfect for backups, especially when you use TrueNAS and the ZFS file system. This server has been benchmarked as being fast enough for video editing storage - see more details below. This is being sold as a bare metal storage server. You will need to be comfortable working with bare metal, and will need a boot drive and some storage drives to get this up and running. TrueNAS ran well on this hardware, but you probably can install your preferred Linux distro or even some version of Windows if that's more your thing. Photos will show drives installed, but they are for illustration purposes. NO STORAGE IS INCLUDED. NO OPERATING SYSTEM IS INSTALLED. FYI, the server runs loud, hot, uses a ton of power and is heavy. It’s not something to put in your bedroom. It throws out a lot of heat. It uses a lot of power. It’s very heavy as well.
